Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shakar is the American and British sitarist. She was the youngest and the first woman to be awarded the British House of Commons Shield she has had Nine Grammy Awards nominations and was the first artist of Indian origin to play live on stage and also act as a host at the awards ceremony. Anoushka shankar is one of India's most promising stars on the sitar. She is a student as well as granddaughter of legendary Ravi Shankar. She was born 1982 in London. Her early years were spent between London as well as New Delhi. As a teenager, her first show was in New Delhi took place. In the following years she moved to Encinitas CA she attended high school. She graduated with distinction in 1999. Anouskha continues to have a bright music and acting career, despite being young. Her father has accompanied her to numerous performances over many years. In 1998 she released her first self-titled album Anourag. The album was released in 2002. her Grammy Nominated Live At Carnegie Hall. In addition to performing in many of the biggest venues and venues, she also has an extensive stage presence. Her career extends beyond music.
